Release notes through 01-04-2021 (HiPay Console)

TRANSACTION MODULE
iDEAL transactions
As part of the opening of iGaming on the Dutch market, the regulation obliges operators to verify that players using their iDEAL account are the account holders. To do so, operators must be able to verify that the data entered by the players correspond to an account they own. From now on, iDEAL transactions will display the customer’s bank details (IBAN / BIC / Account Holder) to assist our merchants in their analyses.
Same day refund
When a merchant refunds a customer’s order on the same day it is captured, there is no cash flow (no collect). This is similar to a cancellation. Until now, it was difficult to remove these special cases in some calculations. From now on, the HiPay Console displays a column that allows you to identify them quickly. It is therefore much easier to take them into account.
One-Click: PayPal
The “One-Click” solution is very common, especially among big e-merchants, and consists in saving a customer’s bank details. The merchant can then offer the customer a very simplified payment in a single click. For the time being, the HiPay Console can, with certainty, provide “One-Click” information only for PayPal transactions.
Various improvements
When a widget is added to your dashboard, but your rights do not allow you to access the data, an explicit message informs you that you do not have the required rights.

Summary of the Financial report module search
5 new fields or columns available:
  • Original amount: this field is currently present in the export settlement file on the former interface. It is the amount of the payment operation (visible under this name in the Transaction module).
  • Settlement amount: this field is currently present in the export settlement file on the former interface.
  • Settlement currency: this field is currently present in the export settlement file on the former interface.
  • Original settlement ID: this field is currently present in the export settlement file on the former interface. It is filled in when the settlement is “Asset settlement” or “Deferred”.
  • IBAN creditor
Total Financial report:
  • 37 search filters (vs. 5 on the former interface)
  • 41 exportable columns (vs. 14 on the former interface)

 

NEW “ONBOARDING” MODULE

New merchant onboarding

  • Simplified interface for merchants’ navigation, as part of their first onboarding
  • Summary of their registration / onboarding form
  • Online form that accompanies the onboarding process
  • Submission of the form once completed and notification sent to the HiPay teams

 

NEW AUTHENTICATION PAGE

A new authentication page welcomes users to the HiPay Console. As from April 28, 2021, it will become the default authentication page for the HiPay Console and the old version.

This new page is more secure than the previous one.

Here is its description.

This new login page offers 2 levels of complexity for the password to encourage using the most secure password possible.

The display guides users with a strength gauge:

  • NOT VALID
    • Between 1 and 8 characters:
      • Gauge: “Too weak” / “Weak”
      • A message guides users: minimum of 8 characters, ideally more than 16, mixing lower-case and upper-case letters, numbers and characters
      • The “Create my account” button is disabled
  • VALID
    • Between 8 and 40 characters:
      • Gauge: “Good” / “Strong”
      • The “Create my account” button is activated and is accompanied by a mandatory captcha

The validity period of the password depends on its length:

  • the validity of a “Good” password is 5 months,
  • the validity of a “Strong” password is 12 months.
